Rev. John Buehrens, Guest Minister

Unitarian Universalists are used to feeling a bit “other” in the religious world. Could it be that our very mission is to learn, and to help others to learn, to be truly “otherwise” – in every sense of that word?

Our guest minister, John Buehrens, has helped to articulate the mission of our faith as President of the UUA (1993-2001), as the co-author of Our Chosen Faith: An Introduction to Unitarian Universalism, and as the author of Universalists and Unitarians in America: A People’s History, among other works. He recently retired from full-time ministry after a successful stint as Developmental Minister for First UU Society of San Francisco.

Rev. John Buehrens will remain after the service for a luncheon discussion of the role of a Developmental Minister. Please plan to stay.
