Valerie Taylor and Linda Haumann

Through the fall and winter, the days get shorter and the nights longer, calling us to retreat, to hunker down, to get close to the warmth both outside and inside of ourselves. With the Winter Solstice, the dark pivots to light, and a new year starts.

Join us in the Fireside Room for our annual poetry service as we warm ourselves by the fire, share favorite poems to read aloud (or have read by others) on the many aspects of dark and light in our lives. Sip coffee, tea, hot chocolate or cider as we enjoy the poems on this New Year’s Eve morning.
