The Unitarian Universalist Association formed in 1961, an evolutionary step for the two wings of American Protestantism that historians have called the wing of the reformation that never stopped reforming. The six principles adopted then were revised and enlarged into our current seven in 1985. Now many congregations across the country are adopting an eighth principle. In an era when religious institutions are largely in decline, how will our free faith adapt to meet the needs of our time?
