Unitarian Universalism is a funny long name that doesn’t really mean much to anyone who isn’t already connected with one of our congregations. And what it means to us is quite different than what Unitarian or Universalist meant to those who first embraced the terms. Part of the meaning of continuing to name ourselves as part of this living tradition is to stay connected to a spiritual history—to those who have come before, and the vision they cast that still calls us on.
