Winter Solstice: Gifts of the Dark

Rising sun peeking through a stone arch

Since before recorded history, humans have acknowledged the winter solstice – that turning of the stars when the longest night of the year gives way to the growing of daylight hours – the rebirth of the new year.

Through the centuries, we humans have celebrated the solstice with ritual, story and song. Join us on this longest night to honor the Solstice and welcome the expanding light.

Come mark this longest night with a community celebration of crafts, music and story! All ages are invited to gather in the Fireside Room for solstice crafts and refreshment, followed by a ritual to honor the dark and cast into a fire that which we would let go of.
