We live in an era that produces a bewildering cognitive dissonance. Our technological capabilities grow at an exponential rate, producing stunning progress within just one generation. Yet, our societal and inner spiritual maturation seems stuck, leading us on a precarious path. Lets spend this Sunday looking at the wisdom of great thinkers like Sagan, King, and Roddenberry, and how we, as Unitarian Universalists, might use our reverence for both science and spirit to emerge from this societal adolescence into a new era of human civilization.
