Class:  An Underdiscussed –ism ?

Our society is perhaps the most socioeconomically stratified as it has been since the Gilded Age when there was a high concentration of wealth in the uppermost class. Class issues became apparent as a force in the presidential election, where Americans who had experienced downward social mobility (particularly less-than-college educated white males and females, the “deplorables”) voted overwhelmingly for President Trump. Shouldn’t we be willing to discuss class, and how it plays out in society as well as our denomination?
