At UU Marin, our youth program fosters resilience and inspires young minds to explore their own journeys for purpose and meaning. With our sacred UU values of Justice, Equity, Transformation, Pluralism, Interdependence, and Generosity, centered in love, our young ones learn to respect themselves and others.

Our program aims to create opportunities for youth to form meaningful friendships and connections that transcend differences. We emphasize ethical development, a strong sense of community identity and and understanding of various faiths. We are committed to creating a program in the transformative power of art and music, using these creative outlets to deepen children’s understanding of our Unitarian Universalist faith.

UU Marin 2024/2025 Curriculum

A collaged image of a black woman smiling, lion, fish, hands raised in solidarity and a sun with a dove flying out of it to represent we are all together. In the middle are the words, "Who and I? Who are you? Who are we?"

Who am I? Who are you? Who are we?

This new and engaging curriculum is designed to help our children and youth understand and express what they believe, what their peers believe, what is unique about their spiritual journey, and what we all share in common. We may all have different sources of faith, systems of belief, and guiding philosophies, but as Unitarian Universalists we share these very sacred and important core values.

Discover the Power of Identity and Unity in this transformative journey.

Exploring Our New Values Flower

As part of our commitment to enhancing UU understanding and engagement within our community, the “UU Values Flower” was developed as a visual representation. This colorful graphic beautifully illustrates the 6 core values that were affirmed in the recent Article 2 revision of the Unitarian Universalist principles.

The graphic above serves as an educational tool and a source of inspiration, encouraging us to embody these values in our daily lives. We invite you to explore this graphic with your young ones.

Each petal of the flower represents one of these vital values, showcasing how they collectively enrich our faith and guide our actions.

Justice – We work to be diverse multicultural, beloved communities where all thrive.

Equity -We declare that every person has the right to flourish with inherent dignity and worthiness.

Transformation – We adapt to the changing world.

Pluralism – We celebrate that we are all sacred beings, diverse in culture, experience and theology.

Interdependence – We honor the interdependent web of all existence.

Generosity – We cultivate a spirit of gratitude and hope.
