October’s worship theme is Shadow, and we’ll spend the month exploring the areas of spiritual, social, and congregational life that often exist beyond the reach of available light.
So much of the culture war mayhem that has occurred these last several years seems to have sprung up out of nowhere. But to understand the shadowy aspects of our current global struggle against authoritarianism we have to look at centuries of re-occurring conspiracy theories and the communities they both sustain and oppress.
