Unitarian Universalism is often mischaracterized and misunderstood because our story is not a simple or linear one. It is a rich narrative that involves many cultures, many theologies, and many colorful characters who were on the margins of mainstream society in their time and place. By learning the stories of the long road to our chosen faith and finding kinship with our diverse spiritual ancestors, we can place ourselves proudly on a dynamic continuum of religious revolutionaries.
