Hands around a flaming chaliceThis lay-led group gathers from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. each Sunday in the Fireside Room.

Participants volunteer to light the chalice and lead a session by selecting a reading or speaking briefly on a specific matter of interest. There is a short period of silence for all to contemplate what has been shared, followed by dialog among all who wish to speak. Midway in the hour, we take time for those who wish to light a candle in honor of personal joys or sorrows and then conclude with more dialog on the topic of the day.

Across the year, we have two or three “brainstorming” sessions to identify specific topics of interest and willing leaders for the weeks ahead. We also have some “potluck” Sundays, without a designated leader, where everyone is welcome to bring some wisdom, humor, or a poem to share (or just come to partake).

This is less formal and a smaller group than the 10:30 service, and can be a good place for newcomers to connect and feel welcome.
